Vince Crews 2.8

Nose: Potent alcohol, toffee, berries (raspberries), plums, apples, pears, powdered sugar Palate: Initial intense warmth. Fruity - apples, plums, apricots. Quite light. Finish: Moderate length. Stone fruit/apricots. Becomes tart, resembling gooseberries with a slight tang. The lingering taste is nutty/oaky and quite dry. This presents as a young, spirit-forward whisky with an old-fashioned character. The fruitiness balances the taste profile, maintaining interest, but the nutty dryness in the aftertaste is somewhat unusual combined with the zesty fruit. It has a creamy, mouth-coating texture. It's decent and shows promise for this distillery's future. I typically do not comment on packaging, but the bottle and box colors are quite unappealing. The orange/brown combination, in particular, is not good! This doesn't reflect on the whisky itself, but it's bad enough to warrant mentioning!
