Caiden Blanco 4.0

I am quite surprised by this MGP rye. This particular bottle is Batch 002. Their optimism is amusing; with double zeros, King's Family Distillery clearly anticipates numerous future batches! In any case, it's light, sweet, and easy to drink. My initial tasting did not resemble the typical 95/5 rye profile. Perhaps it's more akin to Old Forester's new rye, with its high barley content? Sazerac Rye is priced similarly, costing me $35, and I believe I might prefer this one. Next time you find yourself in Knoxville, consider purchasing a bottle to try.

Clayton Cochran 3.5

Distillery product - comprised of 51% rye, 45% corn, and 4% malted barley. This explains my strong liking for it. It reminds me of Pikesville, but a bit younger.

Aroma: apples, subtle rye, cinnamon, Apple Jacks Palate: berries, Oak Finish: spicy, classic rye, lingers

Vicente Shipp 4.0

Aroma: licorice, spearmint, cinnamon, and oak. Taste: pencil shavings, cinnamon, licorice, anise. Okay. I see what you're doing here.

Lynette Glover 4.3

A commendable offering from King's Family. I would purchase this again!
