Beautiful aroma. Smoky scents and perhaps caramel and almonds. Vanilla is present but not strongly. On the palate it's mostly spicy but with a fruity flavor behind the spice. Sweet, smoky, and spicy. There is almost no finish, very short.

Warm spices like cinnamon and clove are present, and it has a very smooth mouthfeel. This is a fantastic combination, but it tastes so much like spiced rum that I can't consider it excellent scotch. Additionally, I feel the price is too high, though I'd definitely buy a lot if it cost $30.

This whiskey offers a lot of flavor, but leaves a faint, sharp finish. It's not silky, though the scent is enjoyable and worth savoring. Oddly enough, adding a piece of lemon significantly enhances this whiskey's appeal.

Consumed neat in a Sutherland tasting glass during Thanksgiving at a relative's house in Freehold, NJ. The aroma is peculiar, with hints of soap and spice. The taste is spicier, with some smoke emerging. Not my preference. Recorded on 12/28/19.

Amazing value (around $45) for a well-rounded, very sippable blend. Honey and spice combine for a distinctive JW creation that is excellent on the rocks or neat with a touch of water. Striking presentation.
