This Benriach is produced by Brown-Forman, the same company that owns Jack Daniels. However, this spirit shares no characteristics with JD. The aroma offers crème brûlée, sweet honey, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is rich, warming, and mildly numbing. Flavors include oak, walnut, and additional vanilla. The lingering finish gradually transforms into butter and cocoa powder. This is a highly enjoyable and approachable dram. It ranked second among the six whiskies, receiving 30% of the votes. I personally selected this as the top whisky from the tasting.
