The aromas are caramel, butterscotch, black pepper, and apples. The flavors are somewhat similar to the nose; caramel and butterscotch fade, revealing apples, plums, and plum brandy. Additional spice and a cleaning solvent note emerge. Quite dry. This is my least favorite sipping rum encountered so far. Update: my appreciation for it decreased over time. I struggled to finish the bottle. Glad it's gone. This was the worst Plantation I've tasted to date.
