About this bottle

The name "Jacob" honors Jacob Taub, a gifted whiskey maker alongside his brother Abner. Their bootlegging activities led to their capture in 1929 during Prohibition, but they later received a presidential pardon in the 1930s, subsequently establishing the Baltimore Club Whiskey Co. In the spirit of such bottlings, this whiskey originates from a barrel chosen by spirits expert and brand consultant F. Paul Pacult, sourced from MGP distillery in Indiana. It is composed of 99% corn whiskey with 1% barley malt, aged for 15 years in barrels previously used for maturation.
