This whiskey commemorates that centennial event and signifies a revival of the Jack Ryan brand, which ceased production in 1946 following the closure of the Dublin Whiskey Distillery (DWS). The label displays the pub in 1913, its opening year, alongside an image of Jack Ryan and his signature. The sourced whiskey underwent 12 years of maturation in ex-bourbon casks and is non-chill filtered.

It begins with fruitiness, featuring notes of pears, apples, pineapples, a touch of citrus, honey & vanilla. Its tropical phase introduces notes of lemon, orange zest, exotic fruits, hints of oak, biscuits & cream, leading to a balanced conclusion with notes of malt & wood. The initial sip is sweet and earthy, but the highlight is a robust, lingering finish that's spicy, oaky, and malty. This spirit seemed to reveal more fruit notes as it rested.

A light barley note appears first, followed by oak. Quite rich, with a nice creamy finish. The richness makes it very pleasing, and I detect hints of honey and salt. It's not overly grassy, which I often find in Irish whiskies, so that's a plus.

The aroma is vanilla with a hint of smoke. It has a light body, is honeyed, not overly warm, exceptionally smooth, and easy to drink. I detect a slight tart fruity note on the finish which is quite pleasant. It's a bit expensive, but it's a well-crafted, approachable whiskey.
