This "limited" edition is even-keeled, well-balanced, and memorable, making it worth the search. The 2014 holiday select is the most harmonized JD single barrel version and therefore the best. The regular single barrel is typically excellent but can be negatively impacted by its cut proof. Conversely, the silver select is often unbalanced. It's unfortunate there's no 2015 release, and the 2014 supply won't last forever!

About this bottle
The 2014 Holiday Select diverges from other years as the Master Distiller opted for individual bottling of the selected Holiday Select barrels. These specific barrels are famously incorporated into the Jack Daniel Distillery's Holiday Barrel Tree display.

More peppery than standard Jack, it's very well-rounded and maintains the mellowness of standard Jack.
From the 2012 holiday selection.
