About this bottle

Dr. Don Livermore, Hiram Walker's Master Blender, developed this whisky by infusing natural bravo hops into the spirit after maturation. The whisky matured in three distinct barrel types: used Canadian whisky barrels, ex-bourbon barrels, and new virgin oak barrels. It is bottled at 80 proof in a specially colored bottle designed to prevent ultraviolet light damage, which could affect the whisky's flavor. This product is currently exclusive to the Canadian market.

Derek Jensen 3.5

I'm surprised to be reviewing a flavored whisky. That said, this is a delightful expression. The hop adds citrus and a significant amount of chocolate. Notes of brown sugar, molasses, and creamy chocolate candy are present. It's excessively sweet for a standard pour, but it functions as a dessert in a bottle if that's what you're after.

Lane Monson 3.0

Sweet maltiness and flavors, but the stale ale aroma detracts from it for me. I was hoping for fresh hop notes, not flat, old beer. Disappointing.

Edward Custer 2.0

I'm uncertain how hop oils can remain potent in a whisky. While there's a subtle citrus flavor initially, it concludes with sweetness.

Dawn Cannon 5.0

A rich texture, with intense dark chocolate, coffee bean, and caramel evident on both the aroma and taste. An excellent whiskey for sipping.

Kristina Fernandez 3.0

Rated 3.5 stars. Rich and caramel-forward with significant sweetness, like ice cream in a glass, but utterly delicious.
