J. Mattingly 1845 Private Barrel Select Rye

Nose: Brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, and a whisper of orange zest. Palate: Overwhelming caramel and vanilla. Spicy rye notes with a sweet tobacco finish. Finish: Extended and persistent. Overall: This is a remarkable bottle. As a former combat medic, I have great respect for medical personnel. Regardless of that, this is an exceptional rye. Delicious, full-bodied, and exceptionally smooth. Very highly rated. The only downside is its limited release of 150 bottles; obtaining another will be difficult.
