An assertive nose of wind-blown straw and young alcohol notes. Golden raisins immediately appear on the palate, along with cereal grains that bring to mind raisins mixed into some nice, gooey oatmeal. The mouthfeel is not as thin as I'd expected from such a young whiskey; it has a peculiar viscosity. A mild spiciness on the finish, with hints of nutmeg. Overall, for a white dog whiskey, this one possesses a strange and interesting character. Unlike anything I've encountered before. Whiskeys like these make me enthusiastic about the future of grain spirits everywhere.
