Nose - Honey, dark caramel, ripe apples, pressed apple cider, vanilla Taste - Light smoke, clean but earthy, gentle black pepper heat, dark apple juice sweetness, caramel, charcoal Finish - Light earthiness, mineral apple juice, gentle heat/tingle/spice Score - 81/100 Final Thoughts - I was unsure what to expect with this one, but the nose was immediately very pleasant. It was quite simple, but very nice. I think the nose was the best part, as the palate introduced an earthy/mineral quality that didn't align with the initial aroma. There appears to be a very subtle peat influence, transforming the fruity notes into something more earthy (like clean sand/dirt) and fruity. Overall, it's an enjoyable spirit, though it fell a bit flat on the palate. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - No Would I buy a bottle? - No NOTE - All reviews are done without factoring in price.
