A light rye aroma is present, accompanied by a touch of sweetness. It delivers a mild burn or spice for a rye on the palate. The expected rye afterburn is almost absent but still faintly detectable. A good value for the price.
The aroma is exactly like Red Hots candy. A strong cinnamon scent. Like Big Red gum. The taste has less cinnamon and more rye spice. It's young but acceptable.
A pleasant whiskey; I enjoy sampling local spirits when I travel.
It's alright, but didn't fare well in a blind comparison against bulleit rye.
Quite acceptable.
