About this bottle

Revelation is the name given to Bob Dylan and the Heaven's Door team's core whiskeys. This bottling is a blend of three distinct whiskeys, each aged for a minimum of 6 years in new oak barrels. The blend is then finished for an additional 6 months in custom 59-gallon heavily toasted American oak barrels before being bottled at 50% ABV. New labels featuring Dylan's iron metalworks are also being introduced to the core portfolio. Announced in July 2023, Revelation will be available nationwide in the coming weeks. (SRP $59.99).

Irving Dwyer 3.5

This is a woody, American Whiskey. It was crafted with aged whiskey and then finished in alligator charred, new American oak for an additional 6 months before being bottled at 100 proof. It has aromas of grains, wood, fruits, herbs & spices. A rich & spicy middle adds notes of baked peaches, cornmeal, Cracker Jacks, dried berries, marzipan, vanilla custard & butterscotch, leading to a warm & woody finish of medium length with notes of toasted oak, dark chocolate, leather, shortbread biscuits with clove & cinnamon.

Carissa Ackerman 4.0

Flaviar Advent 2025 #23. Clear, vibrant golden hue with thin legs. Aroma of spicy fruit, toffee, caramel, and vanilla. Flavor profile includes nuts, earth, fruit, vanilla, and caramel. Medium body with a moderate warming sensation. Scored 8/4/8/4/16, totaling 4.0.

Judy Islam 4.0

At first sip, I wasn't completely sold on Revelation, but the more I drank, the more I enjoyed it. It has multiple flavors with just the right amount of oak. A very well-crafted whiskey, a worthy sip.

Kerry Tripp 3.3

Interesting flavor with a bit of heat. It has a buttery cinnamon aroma with a slight fig flavor and toffee bits. It's not exceptionally smooth and is an okay sipper.

Joelle Woodard 4.8

Golden hue, with a scent of charred wood and good viscosity. It flows with ease, offering notes of caramel and subtle maple, finishing with hints of vanilla and cherry.

Phoenix Burroughs 3.8

The best among the Heaven's Door line. It has caramel notes but finishes a bit hot.
