The nose is quite mild, yet offers a slight burst of floral rye spice alongside charred oak. Citrus, molasses, white pepper, and slight creamy notes complete it. The palate has a touch of rye spice that coats the mouth along with pepper and charred oak. There's a slight chewiness that brings out the sweet and creamy notes. The finish is medium-long with a lingering astringent spice and also has a bit of chew. Oak tannins fade into the background. It's fairly straightforward but offers enough spice and oak to be a pleasant but basic whiskey to sip.
