Hakushu Japanese Forest

Color is a dark coppery amber. Smells like caramel, candied plum, and dried fruit. Palate has sweet caramel and dark stone fruits, plus honey. The finish is long, sweet, slightly drying, and has a hint of bitterness with dark chocolate at the end. Overall, it's very enjoyable and quite delicious.

A pleasant aroma, and the taste is remarkable. Sweet molasses perfume, jam, sweet guava, and whisky. The aftertaste is brief, with a stronger alcohol whisky character. It pairs well with sashimi and gyoza.

Gentle and easy on the nose, with a very rich taste but no smokiness at all. Sweet throughout, which is more typical of Japanese whiskies.
