Sierra Cornett 3.0

Prominent notes of cinnamon graham cracker on the nose. The palate reveals toasted coconut with a subtle grassy hint at the back. With continued tasting, barley and coffee notes emerge, accentuating the Stout Beer characteristics from the barrel finishing. As we move towards the finish, the beer and barley notes gradually fade, concluding the glass on a balanced and consistent note. This expression stands out due to the Stout Beer used for finishing. However, overall, it doesn't distinguish itself from other superior experimental whiskeys I've encountered. Just above average, but not something I'll seek out regularly.

Danna Cepeda 1.8

The stout finish on the nose is reminiscent of a very strong tea scent, with an added grassy note. The taste is less appealing to me, as stouts aren't usually my preference. The same tea-like aroma carries into the taste, and the whiskey flavor, though subdued, is balanced. There's a noticeable sweetness, with hints of chocolate. Unfortunately, this sweetness fades quickly, leaving a prolonged tea/stout aftertaste. I won't be drinking this again. It might appeal more to those who enjoy experimental whiskeys and stouts. Note: Tasted as part of Drinks by the Dram Advent Calendar.

Jessie Jung 3.3

Good pour. Tried a new spirit after a brief tasting at a local store. An average bourbon made better with a subtle hint of stout on the finish. A nice drink.

Omari Mccallum 2.5

I enjoy stout, but I'd prefer to drink beer over this whiskey.

Jared Jackson 2.0

Smoky, acceptable, but the stout barrel doesn't work well.

Gonzalo Whittington 3.8

Cocoa and roasted coffee beans.
