I'm very fond of it. It's smooth, has a rich, savory character, and a spicy kick. It also has a moist, leathery quality with just the right amount of sweetness. This is a distinctive rye, likely different from your usual, but in a very positive way.

I truly appreciate the delayed spice in this rye, which sets it apart from most commercially available ryes. This whiskey is a regular in my collection, excellent served neat or in mixed drinks!
I liked this one. It has a pleasant spice and a relatively smooth finish. Adding an ice cube brought out more vanilla notes and made it very easy to drink.
Nose: Aged hide, leather conditioner, pumpernickel, coffee streusel Taste: Pervasive leather, rich dark syrup, hints of fennel and spearmint Finish: Delightful warmth
Peppery, rich, sweet, and faintly smoky. It's not smooth but rather prickly. It's special served both neat and in cocktails.
