The journey through Wisconsin's Gins continues! I've owned most of these bottles for some time, but am just now getting them logged. This particular one, in its unique square container, offers a taste profile closer to a conventional gin than some of the more contemporary styles emerging from the state presently. Sharp, clean juniper and pine flavors lead the way, supported by spice and floral undertones. It's a solid spirit; perhaps not the most groundbreaking or novel gin I've sampled, but I appreciate a skillfully crafted classic that utilizes regional ingredients. It makes a great gin and tonic; I might prefer a spirit with a bit more alcohol for a martini, but the flavor is appropriate.
