Wilma Wharton 4.0

Color: Tawny Smell: Orange truffles. Fresh Hay. Slight butter emerging late. Some wine-flavors with water. Mouth: Spice. Slight citrus. Slightly sour. Lingering lemon drop finish. Water opens a little cereal, but H2O is mostly not friendly here. Conclusion: Interesting corn-free, American rye. Forty-percent malted barley. Quite delicious and a worthy sipper!

Kiersten Rudolph 2.3

Smoky barley and very young rye notes surprisingly harmonize. Earthy, grassy flavors mingle with a peculiar smoky blend. Purchased at a farmers' market (375 mL for $27).

Lee Braun 5.0

Well-balanced and smoky, made with a 60/40 blend of rye and malted barley. Happy I found this in Baltimore.

Xander Graves 3.5

This is an excellent introductory rye, smooth with a pleasant spice at the conclusion. It's sweeter than typical for a rye.

Emerson Ontiveros 4.8

Deliciously complex. Sweet, spicy, and sophisticated.

Alayna Metzger 3.8

Surpasses expectations. Thick and creamy. Smoky.
