The origins of Gran Centenario trace back to 1895 when Lazaro Gallardo began selling his own tequila. Today, Hacienda Los Camichines in Jalisco, Mexico, is responsible for producing Gran Centenario's handcrafted, small-batch tequilas from 100% blue weber agave. The agaves are harvested from the Los Altos (Highlands) region, slow-roasted for 72 hours, and then pressed. Following fermentation and distillation, Leyenda is aged for 3 years in new French Limousin oak barrels and skillfully blended with some of the brand's existing tequila reserves. It is bottled at 40% ABV. Note: This iteration of Leyenda has been discontinued and replaced by an updated version with new packaging.

An elegant Agave Spirit from NOM 1122. It greets you with aromas of agave, wood, fruits, nuts, herbs, and spices. This is followed by notes of cherry, sweet oak spices, vanilla, and roasted agave. It concludes with a balanced medium-length finish featuring hints of pepper, cinnamon, almond, cognac, and smoke. July 2024
Perhaps my favorite tequila? To me, it combines tequila and cognac flavors. Subtle barrel notes are detectable. Unique. In my opinion, delicious.
Excellent spirit. Very smooth with flavors of caramel, pepper, and agave. Extremely difficult to locate in the US.
