86 Version 45% (bottled 05/2023) Nose: barrel, slight sweetness, pleasant smoke with a touch of peat, after a while also pear and a little vanilla 21 Palate: initially barrel with some sweetness, pears, graininess, then medium smoke, alcohol is nicely hidden compared to the 49% version 22 Finish: medium, slightly smoky, the smoke lingers on the tongue for quite some time 22 Overall: pleasant, gently smoky overall, it's a bit flatter and the 4 years of aging are noticeable, but otherwise quite balanced and a very nice smoky daily dram 21

For me, the ideal smokiness that I can tolerate, quite smooth (though not as much as the 10y, it had a slight bite at the end), with the ten-year-old's notes underneath. A nice smoky whisky for me, but the 10y is better. For someone who loves smoky whisky, I'd say this isn't enough.
This Czech whiskey resembles a fine peated Scotch. It is the sole whiskey produced using Czech barley and Bohemian water. This is an outstanding whiskey.
Aroma: Smoke and scorched rubber. Taste: Mint chocolate. Aftertaste: Hints of candy. The smoky character adds a pleasant dimension.
