Nose: Sherry is very present, with plenty of baked apple, ripe apricot, and orange. Palate: The rich fruit from the sherry continues, with orange, apricot, and plum, followed by a quick pepper spice. Overall, quite surprising for a Speyside, and in a good way.
Raisins and sherry on the nose. The taste is sweet sherry oak, finishing short but strong.
The beginning is excellent, but the mid-palate flavors fade, leading to a watery finish.
A subtle aroma, with a faint peaty sensation on the palate.
Sweet, like fruitcake.
