About this bottle

Glenmorangie set aside four casks from whisky distilled on January 21st, 1976, the date of the Concorde's inaugural flight. At that time, the distillery still produced its own malt before its maltings closed in June of that year. Most of the Concorde casks were bottled as a 15-year-old in 1991 to mark the first flight's 15th anniversary. However, a very small quantity remained in the casks for an additional four years, bottled in 1995 as a 19-year-old. This whisky was never released until its inclusion in the 1970s Collection. (Note: The tasting reflects the closest approximation to the '76 bottling found in the 1970s Collection by Dr. Bill Lumsden, as none of the specific '76 whisky was available for tasting.)
