Glengoyne 9 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)

Smells of bananas and honey. The taste follows with more honey and not much else; it's a rather one-note, light whiskey. The finish is brief. I personally like my whiskies richer and more complex. This is an easy-drinking dram, and some might like it, but it's not inexpensive, so I'd expect a bit more.

A touch of smoke and nail polish remover on the aroma, a medium body, and an acceptable finish that's somewhat rough but tolerable. There isn't much to comment on here. It's not awful, but I wouldn't purchase it. From the 2019 Advent calendar, Day 13.

A powerful blast of alcohol initially, followed by subtle honey and citrus notes. The first taste is somewhat zesty; it becomes sweeter with a touch of water, revealing toasted almonds, vanilla, and a hint of smoke.

Sweet honey on the nose. Taste of lemon citrus. Harsh and alcohol dominated. Long, spicy finish. Not for me.

Very sweet for the alcohol content. Acetone. Lingering burn. Water opened up the sweetness even more. Malty. Syrupy.
