Nose: Abundant vanilla, cinnamon, and caramelized brown sugar. A hint of citrus and pleasant crisp apple. Palate: Smooth, with wood spice and very mild oak tannins. Candied orange peel, vanilla, light caramel. Finish: Medium in length, the initial oak tannins give way to a warm, sweet malt and baking spice.

About this bottle
Glenfiddich Our Bourbon Barrel Reserve Fourteen is the updated name and packaging for the brand's primary 14 Year single malt. The single malt scotch whisky itself remains unchanged; it matures for 14 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels before being finished in charred new American oak barrels, adding further complexity. The new design began appearing on shelves in the UK and US in June 2019.

Nose: intense fruitiness, vanilla, banana. Palate: The new oak is definitely noticeable. A bit harsh. Very bourbony. Light cinnamon, good chewy malt. Finish: oak spice.
I found this bottle at a warehouse store years ago and forgot I had it. It has sweet caramel and is smooth, with added peat from scotch. A nice change from everyday bourbon.
Smooth finish. It loses some of its distinct single malt character. Very nice, it tastes much more like an American bourbon.
Nose: vanilla, apple, baked goods. Prunes and raisins. Taste: Honey, wood. Finish: Short.
Silky and the most vanilla-forward spirit I've ever encountered.
