Perhaps this is because I've just opened the sample and it needs a couple of months to oxidize, but this is practically identical to the standard 18-year-old non-chill filtered version, only it has a richer mouthfeel due to the higher alcohol content. If I have the same impression when I taste it again next month, this is certainly not worth the cost. Why would I ever purchase this bottle for the price of three to five bottles of the 18-year-old?

It remains great, but the conclusion is the same now.
Quite full and zesty. A real pleasure.
