The nose clearly shows its youth, with abundant malt and cereal notes alongside green apple, honey, and a hint of almond, plus a distinct herbaceous character. A light lemon note is present. It's simple, fresh, and direct. On the palate, malt dominates, mingling pleasantly with freshly cut grass. The green apple takes a backseat to the more prominent almonds here, with a subtle touch of vanilla and nutmeg. The alcohol asserts itself with excessive boldness for its 40% ABV, slightly disrupting an otherwise calm, yet still superficial profile. In the aftertaste, the aromas fade into a blend of malt and alcohol, indicating significant immaturity. The finish is short, fleeting, dry, with notes of cereal, dried fruit, green apple, and alcohol. Given the very low price, it would be unreasonable to expect complexity and layers. It's a basic whisky that delivers what a casual drinker expects: straightforward, delicate flavors and a strong alcoholic presence. It meets the basic requirements.
