Allowed to rest for approximately 5 minutes. Appearance: Semi-dark golden color with thin legs; some residue remains at the top. Nose: Sweet, crisp apple on the initial smell, with a bit more intensity than typical Scotch. Taste: Intertwining notes of oakiness and tangy sour gummies, abundant sweetness, with vanilla on the back end. Finish: A short finish with the same crisp bite experienced at the first sip; you get a hit of oakiness, which would be typical Scotch if not for that intensity.

A rich, Single Malt Scotch from Speyside, Scotland, aged for 12 years in American oak casks, then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. It presents an aromatic beginning with hints of fruits, citrus, herbs, and spices; while a rich and complex development adds notes of orange marmalade, oak, cedar, incense, eucalyptus, and cinnamon; culminating in a delicate conclusion with traces of campfire and sea spray. I acquired this to understand the appeal of Mizunara oak. It's not bad, but I don't intend to buy it again.
A subtle peaty finish and a bit warming, but the initial and middle tastes feature notes of caramel and vanilla.
Pleasant flavor, satisfying finish. Minimal warmth upon swallowing.
Smooth flavor profile. Minimal warmth. Woody notes. Excellent when served with ice.
