(From a virtual tasting on Saturday, July 25th, 2020, hosted by the Good Spirits Company in Glasgow). From sample parcel #3, made from a batch of only 4 hogsheads. Nose: Acetone, sherbet lemons, pear drops, strawberry bonbons. Palate: Incredibly smooth, tasting of lemon sherbet and strawberry. Finish: A slight numbing sensation on the finish, leaving a pleasant sweet pear drop aftertaste. It has a lovely, almost waxy texture. It feels a bit old-fashioned and evokes childhood tastes like lemon drops, sherbet, and strawberry candies. This is a delightful dram. Out of the 6 samples tasted, this received 25% of the votes for favorite, tying for first place, although the general agreement was that all 6 were very close. I ranked this as my first choice. I enjoyed it enough to purchase a bottle during the tasting!
