Germain Robin Craft Method Brandy

The aroma presents vanilla, floral notes, and a hint of fruit, smelling quite pleasant. The taste is somewhat muted. There's some agreeable cherry, but it's not overly prominent. However, it strongly resembles cough syrup in the mid-palate. A rubbery alcoholic essence is present, which is less than ideal. The spice is certainly there but not overpowering. Generally, it comes across as a bit flat for a brandy, though it's not actively bad, just average. It's not something I'd choose to sip. The finish is excessively bitter and lacks distinct character. It's not excessively sweet, although some sweetness is detectable. It's simply not very good. I find the apple brandy superior because it possesses a distinguishing quality with its rich apple sweetness.

Apple, oak, vanilla, and stone fruit on the aroma. Floral and sweet. Rich, luscious mouthfeel that coats the tongue with caramel or toffee, maybe even figs. It has a note that reminds me of a Calvados. A nice, fruity finish that lasts a long time. Notes of... coffee? appear during the finish. This is excellent straight.
