About this bottle

Recognizable by its Mason jar packaging, Georgia Moon Corn Whiskey predates the recent trend of craft distillers producing unaged spirits to generate early revenue while their aged whiskeys mature. This unaged corn whiskey carries a "less than 30 days" age statement, offering a taste close to illicitly produced spirits.

It smells and tastes like sugary syrup. I understand it's meant to be a nod to moonshine, given that producing the genuine article is unlawful, but this is truly awful. It doesn't merit the designation of whiskey. I felt regret for the drain for having to endure such a tragic disposal. If some inebriated fraternity members started a distillery, this would be their unfortunate creation. You'd be better off drinking a decent whiskey, urinating, and then consuming the toilet's aftermath. Honestly, you wouldn't detect a distinction! I wouldn't suggest this, even if I were compensated to consume it!

Acquired on impulse while visiting Atlanta, this is clear whiskey with a faintly sweet aroma and notes of cut grass. The flavor is precisely what one would anticipate from corn whiskey bought in a mason jar. Surprisingly smooth, but otherwise an unremarkable whiskey. The taste is dominated by alcohol and grass.

Tamika Andrew 2.0

The aroma is initially sweet, then turns yeasty. The first taste is more appealing than I recalled. It's quite potent, but the heat fades fast. My initial impression a couple of weeks ago was negative, to the point I stopped drinking whiskey until now. Now, I find it to be alright.

This is an unaged corn spirit. It's what you'd anticipate. However, it's surprisingly not nearly as bad as one might expect.

Leah Devore 3.0

I matured it in a small used white oak barrel that had previously held Copper Fox Rye. The result was very good.

Homer Cary 3.8

It's not terrible, but it's not something I'd want to drink regularly.
