Sophisticated and well-decorated aroma of potent corn liquor wrapped in pleasing wood and char. Plenty of vanilla entices, alongside pastry spices and buttery caramel. On the palate, it arrives smoothly, with a mellow yet vibrant entry. Many bright notes, anchored by a tasty middle. The tastes here are delicate and appear and vanish freely, with brief hints of butterscotch, sugary pipe tobacco, toasted corn, rye bread, and a touch of saltiness. The mouthfeel is light, and the aftertaste is moderately lengthy. A great offering that is surprisingly cheap for a bourbon of this maturity.

About this bottle
George Dickel 18 Year Bourbon is a limited edition small batch bourbon, aged in charred oak barrels at Cascade Hollow's single-story rickhouses. It utilizes the distillery's traditional mash bill, consisting of 85% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley. This release follows the introduction of Dickel Bourbon in 2021, which aimed to highlight whiskeys with a more bourbon-like profile from the distillery. Availability commenced in select US markets in November 2023, with a suggested retail price of $510.
