The reposado is aged for 6 months in used American whiskey barrels. A robust foundation from the Blanco provides subtle hints of agave, pepper, and fruits. The whiskey influence is strong, with notes of oak, spices, and honey. These are followed by intense oak and spices on the tongue, with fleeting hints of agave. A trace of honey remains in the finish, alongside lingering oak and spice. Not officially confirmed additive free.

About this bottle
Flecha Azul is a brand of tequila made from 100% blue weber agave. Founded by Mexican professional golfer Abraham Ancer and entrepreneur Aron Marquez, the brand saw actor and producer Mark Wahlberg join as its primary investor in 2022. The tequila is produced in Jalisco, Mexico, where ripe agaves are cooked in brick ovens and then fermented for 72 hours. Following a double distillation process, the reposado tequila is aged for six months in American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled.

Quite disappointing considering what it costs. This tequila presents as rather bland on the tongue. The finish is not memorable. It's acceptable in a basic margarita, but not worth the price.
Slightly oaky, with fruitiness and a very mild vegetal quality.
Light smoke, fruity notes
