Nose: Peat, white wine, a trace of sweet hat. Palate: Apricot, ginger, honey, earthy farm notes, a hint of mineral. Finish: Minerals, lactic funk. I cannot overlook the farmyard aromas. I don't detect them in any Port Charlotte expressions I've had, but they simply overwhelm this. I wish its taste matched its scent. 5.5/10

I continue to detect a good amount of lactic funk and some sweet hay, but after letting it sit for almost a year, the off-putting barnyard characteristics appear to have softened. It’s still a bit of an acquired preference - I doubt this will ever rank among my preferred spirits - but I don’t actively dislike it anymore. 3.25/5
