The aroma offers bright lemon-lime citrus, vanilla, and a robust orange foundation, creating an appealing scent. A sweet entrance transitions to a subtle citrus zest, mellowing the usual intensity of the orange taste. The texture is thick, substantial, and smooth, coating the mouth. Flavors persist for a long time, with the yuzu leaving a slightly dry conclusion. We are very fond of this, finding it excellent for crafting novel cocktails.

About this bottle
Alexandre Gabriel, owner of Maison Ferrand, collaborated with drinks historian David Wondrich on the Ferrand Dry Curaçao Yuzu Late Harvest, similar to the 2012 release. Yuzu fruit from L'Agrumiste, a biodiverse Mediterranean orchard, was harvested in February past its peak maturity, deviating from the usual fall harvest. The entire yuzu fruit is macerated in grape spirit for a week and then distilled. This yuzu distillate is combined with a hint of yuzu infusion, bourbon vanilla, brandy, and Ferrand Cognac. It will be available nationwide in the US starting July 2023 at an SRP of $35.99.

I enjoy the floral citrus notes of yuzu. It's prominent on the nose and can be either softened or amplified depending on what it's paired with.
Yuzu is fantastic for summer. I'm eager to try this in various cocktails.
