Smell: delicious caramelized oak spice and raisins in a sweet corn syrup (around 4.25) Taste: bourbon with rich fruit, cocoa, tobacco, a hint of mint, and baking spices. It feels very drinkable and light given the 99 proof, with a great texture and some depth, and I'm glad it's not heavy this time. (around 4.25) Aftertaste: Nail polish remover, sharp fruit esters appear, reminding us of its age. It doesn't spoil the preceding flavors, but it makes you want another sip to return to the initial part... (around 3.5) I'm considering upgrading this to a 4-star recommendation because it's an incredible value and a bargain..

I was hoping this could serve as a more affordable alternative to Woodinville port, but it falls a bit short. There's an odd texture or flavor I don't appreciate, almost like the thick, velvety mouthfeel of a merlot. I don't really care for that in whiskey.
Aroma: Cinnamon, black tea, tobacco, oak, vanilla, and leather. Taste: Cinnamon candies, dark chocolate, leather, mixed berries, baking spices, and oak. Finish: Mid-length to long, with lingering chocolate, berries, and spice.
Vanilla with hints of berries. Tastes of spice, dark berry, charred oak, and caramel.
