Casa San Matias Distillery in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico, produces Expresiones del Corazón's annual tequila series, with reposados and añejos aged in Buffalo Trace barrels. For the first time in the series, a reposado was aged 12 months in barrels previously holding Elmer T. Lee bourbon. It is available in limited quantities as of December 2021, bottled at 80 proof.

The aroma is very subtle, with no hint of tequila. It offers a rich, fruity scent with a mild oakiness. Initially, the palate suggests a very fine, light whiskey, almost like a chardonnay due to its sweetness, but it concludes with the genuine flavor of agave.
