El Tesoro Reposado Single Barrel Select (Winter 2021 Release / barrel B102-1277 / bottle 185 of 240) A rich Agave Spirit from La Altena Distillery in Jalisco (Los Altos), Mexico; double distilled, aged for 9 months in an ex-bourbon barrel & bottled at 40.9% ABV. It presents an aromatic beginning with notes of agave, wood, earth, fruits, herbs & spices; while a rich & bold middle adds notes of apple, caramel, cooked agave, oak, honey & pine; leading to a balanced medium-length finish with notes of vanilla, butterscotch, chocolate, oak smoke, white pepper & stony minerality.
