Eastern Kille Breakfast Rye

[5.25.2022] I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this before. I opened it sometime last year. I actually purchased the bottle in 2020 when I was in the GR area for pheasant hunting and to give a presentation. Obviously, the pandemic hadn't reached that far north. They got me with the hunting opportunity and then offered whiskey while I presented. How could I refuse? Anyway, this was my go-to drink when I worked as board president selling race programs because everyone else was 'too important' to do it. It was also my easy-drinking choice when sighting in a rifle last fall. It reliably warmed me up during sledding trips. And now it's a good glass while the first summer bonfire dies down. This is sweet, with minimal spice, and I could drink it straight indefinitely (and have). It strongly features maple, not just the syrup but also the smoky bark and woodiness. It has a higher proof, but you don't feel it. Avoid finishing the bottle in one session and don't leave it upside down for extended periods (like in a car's cargo area). The cork deteriorates and imparts an off-flavor. I'm seeking a replacement bottle to keep this on hand if you need my contact information.
