To my palate, this lacked distinct character. After 15 years in the barrel, one would expect more flavor. The issue is likely the dilution to only 40% alcohol. At 46%, I'm confident it would be significantly better. Allow it to sit in the glass for at least 15 to 20 minutes; that's the minimum it requires. As stated, this is just my perspective.
