Nose: Menthol, salt and pepper. A strong alcohol presence. Palate: Light peat, saline, and nutty notes. Finish: A medium-short finish, gentle and slightly woody. This tastes diluted and muted. The best way to describe this whisky is as if someone added an excessive amount of water to a Laphroaig. It lacks character to be disliked but is too bland to be enjoyed. It's like a homeopathic version of Laphroaig! While tasting this, I struggled to identify specific flavors, only what was absent. It's a disappointing and almost offensive whisky. The most positive thing I can say is that the bottle is attractive.
