This is undeniably one of the most distinctive bottles I've acquired in quite some time! In a landscape of whiskey where many bottles offer very similar tastes, it's a welcome change to find one that doesn't resemble ANYTHING I've experienced before. After the first sip, or even the second and third, you're left contemplating exactly what you're drinking. Initially, you detect the classic smoky characteristics of malted barley, but these are then overtaken by the malted rye, bringing notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and coffee. The finish persists for several minutes, leaving your palate to reflect on the experience. I finished the entire bottle within a week, which is highly unusual for me as I rarely revisit the same bottle twice in a week. It's simply that good, and exceptionally unique and intriguing!

Rye notes are present on the nose. On the palate, malted barley is upfront, followed by a peaty finish. If tasted blind, I would never guess this originated from Atlanta. A VERY distinctive flavor.
Distinctive. The typical rye spice is primarily on the nose, while the taste is smooth yet smoky, with a mellow alcohol presence, like a single malt.
