This is a really interesting whiskey. I've never encountered anything quite like it. First, the nose: This bottle brings back memories of my first apartment after leaving the dorms. The place where I shared a cramped 3-bedroom house with three guys, their partners, and whoever ended up crashing on the couch. We didn't even have a dining table, just a foosball table, and the kitchen sink was perpetually full of dirty dishes. Now, for the palate: Right away, you get this overwhelming sense of a liberal arts curriculum that won't be much help in the real world. As you sip it, the mouthfeel can only be described as "surviving on ramen for a month just to afford beer." The finish is very quick, doesn't last long at all, much like... well, I certainly didn't remember it the next morning, and neither will she. Overall, this bottle is packed with nostalgia. A lot of nostalgia I'd prefer to leave behind. Let's agree not to bring this up in front of our children. Sound good?

If this smells and tastes of "herb," it must be a hybrid indica; it's certainly not the sativa I remember from my youth. It's more reminiscent of B&B, but less sweet due to the whiskey base. A very flavorful herbal combination that might earn a spot in the cabinet, but not for daily sipping.
Smoky herbs and a bit of sweet caramel on the nose. Very sweet caramel on the tongue with a touch of whiskey burn and an interesting herby finish.
It smells like weed and tastes how I imagine weed would. The flavor and smell are strong, but I just don't enjoy weed.
There was a lot happening here... not bad, but not good enough to get a bottle and try it more.
Tea. Pine. Not my favorite.
