Just finished the bottle. What started out as one of my least favorites became, after 2 years with the bottle open, one of my favorites. Look at what oxidation can do! We just drink our whiskies too young. Let them oxidize! In the cask!

Terrible profile, but a reviewer gave this 87 points. Improved after one day open. Simple, stale flavor. Much better on the palate with woody spices (anise, licorice, mint, etc.). Burns on the finish.
Considerably improved after more than a year. A pleasant licorice finish with notes of overripe tropical fruit.
Pungent, chili, stone fruit, denatured alcohol
