(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, February 25, 2022). Nose: Orchard fruits (apples and pears), cereal, honey, McDonalds apple pie, hairspray. Palate: Sweet, grainy, vanilla, lemon/citrus, oak, orange, and vanilla. Strange hints of unripe banana. Finish: A medium-long finish. Citrus and black pepper on the finish that builds to a rather sour and woody aftertaste. This is not an exceptionally complex whisky, but it's an easy drinker. Not a bad dram at all, but not particularly memorable. During the tasting, an attendee described it as a 'guard dram' – one you keep at the very front of your shelf to shield your better bottles from anyone just grabbing a whisky! It finished last out of the six drams, receiving 0% of the final vote for favorite of the night. 48% of those present indicated they enjoyed the whisky.
