Don Abraham Organic Extra Añejo

Consumed neat. It has a pleasing deep copper color. The aroma offers agave, abundant vanilla, flan, oak, and some earthiness with barrel spices. The taste is quite sweet with agave, and also heavily features oak/vanilla/caramel/molasses/maple syrup. Hints of anise, black pepper, and baking spices are present. The mouthfeel is moderate and natural. In summary, this presents as an authentic extra añejo. It's sweet and oaky, but not excessively so or artificially rich and cloying. It might be too much for daily consumption, but it's very fitting for a special occasion after-dinner drink. If you enjoy the 2019 añejo, I believe this offers a superior experience while maintaining a similar flavor profile (at a slightly lower cost).

An outstanding tequila, produced traditionally without additives or diffusers. It significantly surpasses another popular brand, and at a considerably lower price point. It's a shame that this bottle gathers dust while that one is sought after for its status. A true hidden gem.
