Doc Swinson's Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in Rum Casks (Release No. 3)

Spiced and balanced. Noted a pear or apple note, which was present at the end. It was alright, but I would prefer a different Rye. Their other products are superior.

Starts with a peppery spice, then a sugary sweetness from the rum casks. It was alright neat. I'll use it for old fashioneds, where it works very well.

I appreciate it, but don't adore it. I likely won't purchase it again, but it's certainly worth trying once.
