This cachaça, produced in Três Pontas, Minas Gerais, is named Mercury after the Roman messenger god. This is a new release from the producer, not yet listed on their website or available for purchase. The time in Jequitibá wood did not add any color but did introduce oiliness and reduced the vegetal freshness of the sugarcane. The 44% alcohol content (4% higher than their other cachaças) is well-integrated and doesn't overwhelm the senses.
