Dimple Golden Selection

A less expensive, younger blend, that I have never before heard of, compared to the dimple pinch 15yo, this one is NAS, less complex and easy to drink. Found it in Turkey. Bottled at 40% ABV, golden color. On the nose it is muted and not very engaging. Honey, salt, almonds, maybe some cinnamon. Not much happening there. On the palate it is very spicy, without being unpleasant. Toffee, hazelnut, cinnamon and lots of clove, which carries into the aftertaste with a slight burn. Overall I give this regular dram a fair 70 out of 100, making it a 3.5 but it feels more like a 3.0. Cheers!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 10/14/2020 Ankara Nose: A rather sweet and sharp aroma. Vanilla and honey are dominant. Grape (vinegary). Palate: A full-bodied, oily texture. Sweet, with honey and brown sugar. Cinnamon, spice, and black pepper make themselves known. The alcohol has a medium persistence on the palate. Finish: A medium-length sweet finish. Brown sugar with very faint smoke and woody notes. Overall: A medium-length sweet finish. Brown sugar and faint smoke are noticeable. The bottle design is attractive. A sweet and full-bodied whiskey. Good value for the price. 75/100

Sweet, mildly spicy, not a very diverse taste, mostly Wheaty, grainy flavors. Good flavor for the price. Not the most memorable whisky but enjoyable at least

Sweet, but with a sharp alcohol bite. It improves slightly with a few drops of water, but not much. Thus, only two stars.

On the nose, very light pear, but in the mouth, it's more of a mild nothingness.

Smooth to drink, but lacks aroma. A good starter whisky for non-drinkers.
